Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Notice that the ones opposed to use already strained tax dollars to fund an illegal alien invasion are Republican? The democrats of Illinois are tyrants and have pushed aside the actual needs of the state to support illegals. Voters should take notice but democrat voters are too stupid to understand how they are being made fools of.
If Pritzker wants anyone’s opinion on what he should do, he’ll ask for it. Oh, by the way, he’s never asked anyone what he should do in his life. He just tells people what to do. He believes he is the chosen one.
To make life better for all Illinoisans those funds could be devoted to the pension underfunding that would ease the current and future tax burdens on all citizens not just a certain privileged block of individuals. However can we assume that the immigrants, armed in true free stuff army regalia, will be a solid Democrat party voting block that benefits the Democrats and not the whole State. How selfish of Pritzker and the Democrats that support him.
Agreed RB. Every dollar diverted away from shoring up pension funding will only cost us even more down the road.
Round Boy Pritzker does not care about taxpaying citizens. He views us all as tax slaves to do as we are told and to shut up and pay our tax bills.
