Oak Park, which has been providing shelter for migrants, will require them to move out of hotel, YMCA by Jan. 31 – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

“It’s an unfortunate situation,” village Trustee Ravi Parakkat said. “We’re not leading them anywhere. It’s just housing in a temporary shelter, which doesn’t get them closer to any of the reasons they made their trek to this country. We’re spending money with no resolution in sight.”

What a gaffe by the Oak Park trustee, aka, speaking the Democrat truth out loud:
**“We’re spending money with no resolution in sight”**
This is the core policy and strategy of the Dem party.
1. Tax makers at a confiscatory rate.
2. Skim some off the top for Dem fellow travelers.
3. Give the rest to the takers, aka, Dem voters.
4. Never resolve any problems with the stolen taxpayer money, only create new ones.
5. Repeat ad nauseam.

A vote for a Democrat is a vote to perpetuate failure.

Having a plan is something these people should have thought about before they left their country. Sorry, but embarking on a trek like that with no plan, expecting the US Government to “take care of them” is just stupid. Allowing 8M+ illegal immigrants to cross into this country and then expect the existing “programs” and “social services” to absorb these people into them and then to just expect the American tax payer to pay for it all is just stupid. Those social give-a-away programs are designed to meter people at a planned rate…introducing these millions of people can’t possibly work.… Read more »

They don’t care much for the short term. The long term 20 year + goal is these people will reproduce and make native born citizen Democrat voters and they themselves receive amnesty. They understand there were will ‘hiccups’ in the short term, not really even thinking about the 2nd and 3rd order effects of this mass migration. These people are treasonous and should be imprisoned for the rest of their life. They are doing this on purpose to dilute the power of your Republican votes.

“Officials hope that nonprofit groups such as Housing Forward will be able to find those being displaced with more permanent housing, but no site has been publicly identified…” Are they kidding – Housing Forward is already swamped with their regular homeless clientele, including housing clients at the Write Inn, a former hotel, for which there’s a months – long waiting list for the homeless to get in… “Interesting” that all the big homeless “non – profits” are absent from this “conversation” – they’re scared sh*tless about the waves of illegals coming in… Here in Evanston, it’s the corrupt Connections for… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
