Pro-Palestinian protesters confront Democratic lawmakers, shut down Chicago interstate – FOX News

The group, led by the "U.S. Palestinian Community Network," first stopped at the home of U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky in Evanston, the group said on Instagram. The demonstrators also confronted U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin at his home in Chicago, where they shouted chants of "Long live Palestine!" Then a caravan of nearly 100 vehicles then went toward O'Hare International Airport; both sides of I-190 were temporarily shut down, forcing traffic to remain at a standstill.

Holding the Dem Socialist convention in Chicago in the hottest month of the year is a huge mistake.
The violent goblins of the Left are going to lay waste to the city, and there’s going to be no one available to stop it.

Hamas drew first blood. Hamas needs to be smoked out and done away with – that’s what Israel is systematically doing. A few years from now they will be selling ocean front property for development in Gaza – It will be much nicer for everyone.

Once upon a time you were arrested if you interfered with the public way. Hell, if your car konked out it would be towed if it interfered with the public way. Now if you’re woke enough you can inconvience everyone and get crickets…

They Hate Jews, that’s why the State Department imported millions from a region of the world drenched in hate; you don’t need a Harvard degree to see it.

So far, Fox32 is the only local media report on this. Why? And why nothing on arrests?

If the “mostly peaceful protesters” weren’t arrested, do you seriously think these jerks will be?

We all know why, and it is maddening.

Although it was some time ago, the Palestinians voted for Hamas. Just another reminder that who/what you vote for has consequences.

I rode past them yesterday afternoon going south on Ridge from Evanston into Chicago. They were waving large Palestinian flags, honking horns, etc.

I would have guessed that the number of vehicles was closer to 50 than 100, but I didn’t try to count. Being caught by surprise, I focused mostly on the flags.

Don’t conflate my message with radical behavior. I’ve heard them driving up and down my block screaming death chants into a megaphone. I don’t support death chants. violence, or blocking expressways. I want people to participate in the democratic process. Part of that goal involves trying to teach others how to communicate effectively. I get mad at most here because they deter participation and do their best to thwart basically everything that would legitimately challenge government encroachment. You and the “leave Illinois” crowd misleading readers is a prime example. I’ve been purposely staying out of the mess, because I don’t… Read more »

All you downvoters could move out of IL. That would fix the problem just like everything else.

He’s right, it’s the Benjamites vs. the Canaanites all over again. I of course strongly favor the Benjamites but that doesn’t mean I need to become personally involved in a conflict over a little strip of desert land on the other side of the planet.

The Canaanites have their sights set on much more than Israel.

How far are we going to allow this to go? I mean, it is fun to see prune face Jan and do nothing Dick take some heat, but these protesters need to play by the rules or suffer the consequences. They declare war on others and foment terror, but when they get their tails kicked everyone is supposed to come running to bail them out? Not going to happen.

Because the Palestinians are getting their butts kicked for killing and raping defenseless civilians, these young idiots decide to block people from getting home to their families for Christmas. Kind of consistent – trying to hurt families. What a bunch of cretins.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
