Democrats Prepare for Convention of Regret – Wall Street Journal

"Some readers may be imagining the intrigue as ambivalent delegates wonder if they really have to nominate Joe Biden for president again. Others may puzzle over Democrats’ decision to gather in Chicago, a violent and expensive monument to the failures of progressive governance. But the choice of venue is even worse than many realize and seems bound to inspire a rush of regret. A series of events will serve to highlight not just Democratic dysfunction but corruption as well."

Governor Abbot – keep the busses, planes, automobiles, and trains coming … after all, Chicago is a sanctuary city in a proud, though bankrupted, sanctuary state. All are welcome!

The big card dems have to play is that dem convention happens in August AFTER Republican convention in July. I’m sure dems are praying Trump is nominated and not Haley, if he’s under conviction even better. Then in August sleepy joe can step aside and dems can nominate a Michele or JB

Joe Biden is either going to finish his second term, or pass away of natural causes. They will keep him locked away in a morgue for several days after he dies and still continue to issue executive orders in his name. Again, the regency – because that’s what it is – behind Joe Biden isn’t going to voluntarily give up power so some other competing cabal of Democrat power brokers can take over the Oval Office and West Wing. The Democrat Party isn’t some unified force that can just cobble together another consensus candidate to take over the presidency. There’s… Read more »

Pols/news I’m reading have Trump leading Biden by only 4%, it’s basically a tie. But Haley beating Biden by 14%. Is Trump the best thing dems/Biden have going at this point, (i think so)? ….Sorry, I think sleepy joe would step down in a flash if asked. Maybe he hangs in there for another run if Trump is nominated, but I don’t see it? But all I was saying is dems have a huge advantage to choose somebody different than Biden if the polls aren’t working out for them at convention in August in Chicago

Biden isn’t running the show. It’s the West Wing running the show, with Jill Biden propping up Joe, and making his decisions for him. Jill Biden is making serious decisions for the country.

And behind Jill are some very powerful, and popular people within the federal government, Obama’s apparatus. These are the people running the presidency as a regency, Biden is president in name only. “Biden insists his presidency is not a third Obama term; his staff picks suggest otherwise” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/06/16/most-bidens-top-white-house-staff-worked-obama-and-female/7706857002/ You understand that Obama, right before he left office, authorized all that Russia nonsense to hamstring Trump, and then oversaw the next four years making sure that Trump and Republicans would never, ever win again? It’s not a conspiracy theory to recognize, that out in the open, every Democrat states put in… Read more »
