Asked by host Poppy Harlow, "Are children safe in the shelters right now?” Mayor Brandon Johnson's response began, "Well, what we’ve seen is, again, repeatedly is that when the migrants are arriving in the city of Chicago, because — or New York or anywhere else, for that matter — there — there’s not a real coordinated approach to make sure that migrants and those who are seeking asylum are getting the services that they need at the border. There’s no screenings..."

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. No kidding, Sherlock. But, YOUR JOB is to coordinate all of that, instead of stammering through an interview with excuses full of double-speak. *sigh*

When will Brandon do this? According to the evening news today New York mayor Adams says the jumpers will cost the city $12,000,000,000 in the next 3 years. If his executive order works and Brandon does not to do the same how many will be diverted to Chicago?

Hopefully all of them. The voters don’t seem to have the ability to recognize cause and effect so we must show them exactly what will happen if the state and city keep its sanctuary status. Some people only learn that the oven is hot after they burn themselves.
