Oak Brook officials taking proactive approach to possibility of migrant buses from Texas affecting the village – Chicago Tribune*

Most likely because it doesn’t have a train station, Oak Brook has not yet been one of the many suburban drop-off spots for busloads of migrants being sent to the area. Even so, Oak Brook officials are taking a proactive approach in dealing with the situation, which for them has been most visible over the past two months with the arrests of 30 unlawful migrants for theft from retailers in the village.

It is difficult to believe that all these Venezuelans arrive in Chicago and somehow find means of transportation out to the Macy’s in Oak Brook where they immediately start stealing high end items. There is something larger going on. Are the being recruited into a theft ring that quickly? They aren’t from this country but immediately know where to go? And what would they do with all that Ralph Lauren merchandise other than sell it? What the heck is going on here?

Agree 100%. None of this adds up. All being orchestrated and funded by powers that are trying to destroy Europe and the U.S. particularly.

Pre-existing criminal organizations are moving from Venezuela to the US. These are people who want and need money, and crime is simply the easiest way to get money.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
