McLean County to consider ban on taxpayer funds for migrants – WGLT (NPR at ISU)

Board member Chuck Erickson said the county is not financially equipped to provide services for migrants and said he’s opposed to the idea on principle. “American (taxpayer) dollars should be used for American citizens,” Erickson said, blaming the federal government for failing to stop the flow of migrants at the southern border.

A few of our downstate counties had looked into the possibility of separating from the State of Illinois and joining with Missouri. The squelches got put on that right off so while McLean can enact what it wants but it is still in the State of Illinois and subject to many of the rules laid out JB.

I’m very confused ,which isn’t very hard to do. The entire state is a sanctuary state not just Chicago. JB’s Gubernatorial Emergency Power Proclamation for Asylum Seekers (migrants) applies to entire state, not just Chicago. Therefore, don’t all the counties and municipality have to provide all services and provisions listed in JB’s Gubernatorial Emergency Power Proclamation for Asylum Seekers (migrants) the same as Chicago? Where’s Kwame?? Somebody explain??
