Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Unfortunately Mayor BJ’s woke administration hasn’t yet realized that Chicago NEEDS its middle-class demographic to keep city viable long-term. Wealthy folks aren’t the middle-income people who keep business and enterprise working. Wealthy folks aren’t the union-member tradespeople who keep homes and businesses operating. He sounds like a doofus and says nothing of value.
Elections have consequences – this yahoo is a perfect example … and he hasn’t even been in office for a year.
Someone needs to fix the unbrained crisis in the Mayor’s office.
‘unhoused’ – when I see woke words, I stop reading. Sorry globalist CBS2, no clicks for you!
