Texas Sen. Ted Cruz exploded when Durbin accused him of assuming Adeel Mangi, nominated to serve as a U.S. Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in New Jersey, was an antisemite or terrorist sympathizer because he is Muslim. Said Cruz, "You did not dispute any of the facts I said about the organization that he was an advisor of, he was a donor of, he raised money for. The Democrats don’t want to defend the substance, so now they’re screaming Islamophobia, and I understand, playing the race card when anyone disagrees with the Democrats, they scream racist.”

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

Little Dick Durbin is a huge POS. And he has been for his whole career.
Nothing like threatening the President of the United States and a US Senator. These type of comments are disgusting. You should seek help.
If you watch the video, Durbin is such a demoralized man, that he doesn’t even realize he did it. It’s just who he is. Sickening.
Durbin is as feeble as Biden.
As offensive as DD’s existence, pretty much in its entirety, is, what will it take for Illinois voters to NOT send him back? Exactly. The bar in Illinois is low… Freebies and gerrymandering almost guarantee a guy like this benefits from the lifetime employment of being a Senator.
Chalk this up to laziness or greed, or simply stupidity, but those of us who have more than 2 brain cells (4.6 in my case) know this is NOT what the forefathers intended from those who pledge to SERVE the public.

Durbin is a worthless hack. Just go away already Dick, and take your lobbyist wife with you. Another lifetime politician that wouldn’t know how to add value in the real world.
This particular future judge appears to be a very left wing nut job type, but at least he’s qualified. Most of Biden’s affirmative action appointees have been bottom of their class types from terrible law school, with little experience in areas of law beyond left wing activism.
According to Wikipedia: “Biden earned a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1968. He ranked 76th in a class of 85 students after failing a course because he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school.” Biden then appears to have been so unsuccessful in his law practice that he became a career politician before we elected him, a guy unfit to serve as dogcatcher, to the Presidency.
