What about on a barge way out in Lake Michigan?

Just read another article about 6 more illegals arrested by Oak Brook police after stealing from Macy’s on Tuesday. Two of the enterprising individuals tried to get away with more than $10,000 in merchandise after removing the security tags and placing the items in luggage. Of course, the prosecutors requested these lowlifes be held, but the judge denied the request. Democrat policies are directly responsible for every bit of this crisis.

If they must be built, build them in Chicago and/or Springfield.

Like it or not, JB’s asylum seeker migrant emergency order (and the shelter & services to be provided) applies to entire state not just Chicago, so CTU/Brandon is correct to demand rest of state take on their share of self inflicted Illinois sanctuary state migrant mess.

Oh my, Chicago needs help again. Can we assume that it has even borrowed to the max from the pension funds making this a really serious threat? Will the State jump in and build shelters, just like the prisons, across downstate to provide paltry jobs for the out of work coal miners? Will the migrants comply as they were promised Chicago and not some outlying shelter? Will the down staters enact anti-shelter laws or will they be forced to comply regardless of the desires of the citizenry. Plenty of uncertainty surrounds this issue that is sure to end in disappointment… Read more »

JB Pritzker will build shelters in strong Republican voting areas, especially those that voted a majority for Darren Bailey last year, just to punish them. Our governor is a vengeful and petty piece of garbage who goes out of his way to punish his political enemies.

Hey BJ, why not ask JB to house the in Hyatts. This a real Democratic Party intersection. He could charge above market rates and use the extra scratch to fund the progressive adgenda and more Soros backed prosecutors.

We might as well change the name of this country to the United Suckers of America. We fund the wars of other countries, let millions of illegals into our country and bicker endlessly about what to do with them, let dangerous career criminals roam the streets wreaking havoc and pay millions of people to sit on the couch at home. This is Biden’s America.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
