And for the uninformed the handgun he is holding has an extended magazine, probably a 30 round mag, and has the “switch” that allows the gun to become fully automatic. PICA violations and a federal crime for possessing a machine gun. No court for that yute as he has taken the pavement temperature challenge

Busiest remaining corners in Loop is/was TJ Maxx entries weekdays at lunchtime. Kiss that retail traffic goodbye. Loop is no longer safe for pedestrians, tourists, or workers. Mayhem prevails.

And TJ Maxx already closed its Michigan/Ohio location; expect its State/Wabash/Madison store to close soon too.

As a former Chicago resident of 74yr, I watched the WGN report on the Loop murders yesterday on Youtube and nearly barfed seeing the sign of the Planned Parenthood over the that of Innovations HS. Chicago recovered some of what it lost as crappy neighborhoods gentrified and places like Maxwell St. and skid row disappeared. Chicago’s growth slowed during Rahm and up through Lori 2019. I lived in Chicago during this transition and it was freakin awesome for a young professional with disposable income… However, I firmly believe it was 100% Lori and her coronavirus decisions that killed downtown Chicago. Simply put, Lori shutdown downtown for far too long and allowed black criminality fill the void. This… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
