The nonprofit museum and library was founded in 2003 by Jennifer Pritzker, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard and cousin of Gov. JB Pritzker. She continues to serve as the Pritzker Military Foundation president and chairs the museum’s board of directors.

Actually, this is one thing with the name “Pritzker” attached that was something really good. It was a classy and beautiful two – story space, with a large library, an auditorium where I heard several excellent military presentations by guest speakers, and free entry and a resource center for vets. For a few years I had an “educators” membership for like $25.00 per year that gave me free access to large (and normally very costly) academic databases amongst other things. A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
