Chicago Board of Education votes to remove resource officers from Chicago Public Schools"To truly achieve our goal of whole school safety, we must look beyond a narrow set of physical safety protocols and include emotional support for all children and trusting relationships between CPS students and adults," the board said in a letter to the CPS community.

Cops in schools should not be dealing with Javontsvious throwing his milk carton in the lunchroom. Let the administrators handle problem kids who commit crimes in schools. This could get interesting. Note to all cops responding to school calls, drive safely, obey all traffic rules, stope at red lights and stop signs, find a legal parking spot etc.

I don’t suppose those new protocols ban CPS from calling 911 for anything other than a medical emergency.
