Why are ICE vehicle drivers in IL paying these huge gas taxes and EV drivers get a pass to be similarly gouged? Maybe it’s a negative incentive to force more people to buy expensive EVs, so IL can declare itself the EV leader of the country. That would be yet another reason to scoot.

They had to wheel out the old “unscheduled maintenance at the BP refinery” excuse to prop prices up. It’s an oldie but a goodie. In another two months it will be the “summer blend” excuse. Of course if prices drop after that they can use the “geopolitical unrest” excuse. These greedy bums will do anything to keep oil high.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
