Stellantis laying off nearly 400 salaried workers to handle uncertainty in EV transition – CBS News

In 2022 the company announced that it planned to close a factory in Belvidere, Illinois, and lay off 1,350 people in an effort to trim its manufacturing footprint. But during contentious contract talks last year with the United Auto Workers, Stellantis agreed to keep the plant open to make EVs, as well as add a battery factory in Belvidere.

Yep, the Fat Man and our President took their political victory lap, even included it in the State of the Union, now the reality happens and no body hears about it. Crooks. How can anyone vote for these self serving grifters.

You certainly won’t hear the horn tooting and back slapping that was all over the media when this deal was touted a while back. The local media probably won’t even mention it.
