Illinois law would restrict lawful gun ownership to citizens only – WTVO

The proposed law comes in response to the decision by Judge Sharon Coleman of the U.S. District Court for the Nothern District of Illinois that ruled a noncitizen migrant had the right to possess a firearm while he was defending a Chicago business during the 2020 riots that followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Legal question, can Illinois residents ‘identify’ as illegal aliens to obtain gun ownership and carry rights?
Ruling create legal paradox, because Illinois residents are NOT allowed to possess or Concealed Carry without expensive and rigorous time consuming process of obtaining FOID and CCP.
And the website is always broken when trying to renew CCP.
Has anyone tried to use the FOID website lately, or visit a (almost always ‘Closed’) State Police FOID kiosk recently?
