Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

Notice that Congress after Congress have no problem funding both sides of the conflict. Much easier to form a consensus when they all know the game. It’s a big club, and you’re not in it.

Youtube deletes comments about METOO hypocrisy. This is relevant to any ‘sexual rights’ discussion. The irony is that METOO demonizes any group which questions rapists’ rights. Yet METOO protects Hamas rapists’ rights and rights of Hamas Mamas to praise rapist sons…so long as rape victims “deserved it'” (raped while being Jewish?)).
Where is there a fair venue to address such hypocrisy?
A variant of classic “Dump-And-Pump” scheme (create political policies which crater asset values, then use insider leverage to buy-up busted-out assets for insiders’ benefits at borrowed-pennies-on-the -dollar during dead-of-the-afternoon closed-access/non competitive bidding sessions,, then revert policies to those which favor fair-value assets): Destroy social-justice activist policies which get traction by: 1. Let them run, gain traction. 2. Discredit them by their own hypocrisy. 3. Revert to policies which ignore the kernels of truth which gave rise to original social-justice activism.
