Chicago mayor to ask city council for $70 million for migrant aid – WGNTV (Chicago)

Earlier this year, after Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle committed money toward the estimated $321 million needed, Johnson said he never committed to asking the council for $70 million. The mayor is now reportedly having a change of heart.

Gee, I never though I’d see the day where an elected official would tax me for my own replacement. It’s the new version of training your replacement in the private sector.
