Illinois Senate passes plan to provide free state IDs to people leaving prison, jail – WAND (Decatur)

"Right now, we're prioritizing those who have been convicted by a jury," said Sen. Andrew Chesney. "Yet, you can be a single working mother and $20 is perhaps a hill too high to climb right now financially. Those that are not convicted and playing by the rules are left to pay the fee."

We need to change to term “Free” to Taxpayer Funded. There is no such thing as “Free” – someone is paying for it and it is 99% of the time the taxpayer.

just another WOKE example of where the IL General Assembly seems to be putting its priorities.. Criminals and illegals come first… then the taxpayers who are bearing the tax burden. thank-you WIrepoints for continuing to show us why our vote counts.
