The article quotes “local activists” and quotes “one activist,” but doesn’t identify anybody, even by pseudonym. I wonder why it was placed.
The article doesn’t even say where the “local activists” “gathered.” SMH.
How about putting more police in the wards were the alderman is pro police and less police in the wards were the alderman is anti police. That will show the voters that you get exactly what you vote for.
in an “ideal world”, I’d pull *all* 911 services from wards where the alders are anti – police and “anti – authority”… let ’em “police” themselves, lol…

THEY ARE SHOOTING EACH OTHER. It’s not like there’s some outside nefarious power, or occupier force, or colonialist, or other natural disaster, or plague, or anything coming from the outside into the community causing this problem. These people are shooting at each other, over mostly petty disputes arising out of facebook or snapchat or insta, and then they get really really high off cannabis, and then fire dozens of bullets into a crowd hoping to maim or kill their target. That’s the root cause of the problem.

The SAFE-T Act has one stated goal, to reduce the number of (mostly) black and brown people in jail. That’s it. It doesn’t try to make the community safer, or stop crime, or reduce crime, or punish more. This was the goal of the Black Caucus and was one of their Four Pillars of Justice after St. Floyd’s OD.
