Illinois Senate advances largest spending plan in state history to House – Center Square

The Senate was in Sunday, when senators discussed more than $1.1 billion in new tax hikes to cover the costs of an increased spending plan. Among the spending is nearly a billion dollars of taxpayer funds for non-citizen migrants: $629 million for non-citizen health care, $182 million for direct services; and $160 million for welcoming centers.

These Dems love spending taxpayer money. It’s pleasurable to the point of being orgasmic to them. It would be cool if IL had pols who would manage taxpayer money responsibly. If you’re hoping for that to happen soon (or in your lifetime, if you’re elderly), it’s better to relocate to another state to avoid the constant anguish.

Pritzker and the supermajority Democrats doing their job to keep Biden’s inflation high. If you’re in government at the taxpayer trough, let the good times roll! Oink, oink!

This can’t be. Many people on this site told me there is no room for more taxes.

Herb Stein, an economist in the Nixon administration once said, “if something cannot gone on forever, it will stop”. I’m not sure how long tax increases in Illinois can go on, but it’s not forever.

This is all for the Pritzker For President 2028 Campaign. Paid by the real workers of Illinois. The Pravda MSM will cheer for all of the free goodies showered upon Illinois by Pritzker.

Remember that Pritzker tried to steal 300,000 in tax savings by removing toilets,
Remember that when he tries to steal from the White House.
A billion dollars, I try to think of it as
1,000 million, that’s a lot of toilet removal.

One billion dollars, $1,000,000,000.00, lots of zeros for a zero return. Money spent on illegal alien,, invaders of our country. Sponsored by destructive policies dreamed up by democrats.Meanwhile Americans who worked for years in state and local public jobs see their pensions on the brink of failure. Nice going.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
