Why is that the first thing I thought of was “putting lipstick on a pig”?

I don’t know with any certainty, but it seems blatantly racist to me. Your mother must be so proud!

Why is that racist? That saying has been around for decades and all it means is that you can’t make something look good that isn’t-never has race been a part of it. Your mother must be so proud of your finding fault with absolutely everything. Find something else to whine about and look at this comment for what it is; He’s an awful mayor and all the hair and makeup work in the world won’t change it.

I rarely complain here at all. I’m more of a live-and-let-live kind of guy. Besides, it’s mostly a waste of time trying to change another person’s cemented point of view if you’ve not pondered that thought. All you’ll get in general are hateful mindset responses presuming you are one of the despised “them” that has caused your downfall as compared to your youthful dreams otherwise.

I’ve changed my views on abortion. If Democrats want to murder their babies in the womb, who am I to stop them? The fewer Democrats the better.

It seems racist if you can only view the world through the lens of race. To me BJ is…….pretty darned ugly and the phrase “putting lipstick on a pig” is fitting and funny. Here’s a fact that may surprise you: There are good looking black people and there are ugly black folks. Just like with all the other people of all other races. But to the america hating progressive mindset you can only see race all about you. Plus, the tactic when losing an argument “When all else fails yell ‘racist”, is straight out of the progressive bible ‘Rules for… Read more »

“Vanity working on a weak head produces every sort of mischief”. Jane Austen, in Emma, aptly describes Mayor BJ and his administration to-date.

We needed to look at the root cause for why he needed to spend $30 grand on hair and makeup. So far all we’ve come up with is that he’s stupid and ugly.

Further proves what we all know, this mayor is a fragile clown who is focused on himself. He cares more about his own complexion than the complexion of the city. It shows in the out-of-control crime, businesses fleeing, taxes that are way too high, and the prioritization of Mexican and Venezuelan economic migrants over African American, Hispanic and Caucasian citizens. If this is the best the totally Democrat-controlled city can offer, stay away from the place.

He’s been in a mental institution at least four times since he took office because of panic attacks. He’s a mental midget.

Well, since Lori only spent $30 for hair and makeup during her entire term, it averages out ok.

Do you get charged by the hair strand? I’m probably down to 4-5 haircuts per year.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
