At least 33 shot, 5 fatally, in weekend gun violence across city – ABC7 (Chicago)

The first shooting happened about 9:20 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of East 31st Street. Someone in a silver sedan opened fire, striking the 12-year-old walking with a group of people and a 15-year-old girl sitting in a car, Chicago police said.

They just want to go around and shoot each other. Sure, on weekends, you might play golf, or mow the lawn, or drive kids to soccer practice. These people on the south and west sides, they want none of that. They want to shoot at their neighbors.

You really have to look to find weekend wounding and shooting deaths. No mention in Trib or Times. Maybe because these weekend fatalities have become routine and pols don’t want the population aware.
