Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Well, its an idea to limit influence but here is one that will not stress the taxpayers (who all politicians think are as rich as their big downers). Limit all donations, from individuals, parties, PACS, Unions, small business and corporations to $1,000. This will even it all out and not cost the tax payers more. If you proposed this then I would say your serious, other wise your gaslighting the public and I call you on it.
Conversely, the taxpayers would then be funding the lifestyles of pols such as Stacy Abrams ( D-GA) who consistently runs a losing campaign for office every time and lives quite well off of her “ war chest “.
Exactly Indiana. People over there understand politicians and that is why you state is thriving while Illinois only growing business is abortions.
That is her plan…..and then complains the vote was stolen! If she were to be elected she would have to work……real work doesn’t seem to be in her vocabulary.
It’s not like the city is short of money or anything, right?
