Based on everything publicly known so far about this case, I dunno that it is so much a Black vs. White issue as it is a “thin skinned and trigger happy cop” vs. “a frightened and vulnerable person, possibly with mental health issues” issue. I cannot help but wonder if the cop in question (who bounced among a number of local PDs before being hired by Sangamon Co, and seems to have a less than stellar reputation where he has served) wouldn’t have reacted the same way if Sonya Massey were white. Democrats only care when a white person shoots a black person. Since that’s one out of 1,000 times a black person is shot, they are usually quiet. The other 999 times, it’s black shooting black. No political points to make there.

Ever the opportunest, Joe ( or whomever is writing his statements these days ) can’t wait to make hay of a black person shot by a white, especially a white policeman. No word on the people he let waltz across the border killing American citizens , though. No word on blacks killing blacks and non- blacks alike though. No word on police being assaulted and killed by blacks though. Truly a one way street.
