Well, I am a Blackhawks fan. But, sorry, I likely wont be going any longer if this happens. I won’t go to Cub games any more because of the incredible parking issues. They are headed in the same direction. It is super convenient for the few games I attend in-person to buy the parking pass and ticket. Not all together inexpensive, but workable a couple times a year. Park right next to the United Center – in and out. Won’t be anymore. Also, who is asking for this sort of mixed use area. Sounds like another boondoggle to spend tax… Read more »

If you build it, they won’t come. Seriously, who’s asking for this? A city circling the drain isn’t going to be saved by projects like this. I think I’ll skip the gunfire and avoid this place.

This is precisely why the city and state should insist any new ballpark be privately funded by Reinsdorf. Clearly he has the financial resources. He didn’t get rich by being stupid with his money but the city and state went broke by being stupid about spending other peoples.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
