If you can’t, or won’t, teach them anything useful, entertain them.
That’s how the education system raised the graduation rates in inner-cities from 50% to 90% in the past decade or two. They stopped teaching, and started indoctrinating.
Enhancing the Student experience. Wow. How about, just teach them English, Math, Science and History for starters. Once you have them up to grade level of reading and math…then talk about more, but do the basics well, then Enhance the Student Experience. Common Sense.
The problem is many of these kids can’t learn and don’t care to using the current teaching structure. Many of these kids eat nothing but crap and garbage food and are hyperactive and have learning problem. The studies tend to show a correlation between food additives and ADHD and other learning problems, but it really realized it several years back when talking to one of my son’s friends.
