New law mandates 20 minutes of relaxation techniques in schools – WICS (Springfield)

Senate Bill 2872 provides instruction for school districts on relaxation activities, such as mindful-based movements, yoga, stretching, meditation, breathing exercises, guided relaxation techniques, quiet time, walking, in-person conversation, and other stress-relieving activities, once a week for 20 minutes, in addition to recess, to enhance physical and emotional health.

Holy crap….sure why not. Lets build a separate building at each school district throughout the State so they have a proper environment for meditation. Good God. Just teach them to Read, do math and understand history and government. The rest is teachers not wanting to teach and waste more of each day.
