The real-time fact checkers will be real busy with these two. I fully expect bloviating and whoppers from Pritzker. In fact I’m expecting at least 5-10 whoppers from JB.

2 of the most the most repulsive individuals in Illinois politics. No further proof is needed about the failure of Illinois schools than the election of these 2.

Another pricy grooming bill coming up for the mayor. Supports of the mayor, a substantial contribution to his campaign fund is in order.

I sure hope Wirepoints presents a good take on these two’s speeches here because I don’t plan on watching them.

JB has been dreaming of and planning for this day ever since he decided that he was rich enough and entitled enough to run for President. Will he mention on how the budget is balanced in Illinois? Will he mention anything about all the taxes he increased both new and old? Will he mention on how Illinois is a great place to live with the extremely low crime rates especially in Chicago. Will he mention on how to save money on property taxes by ripping out his toilets and replacing them with portable… Read more »

He will mention IL being the “abortion capital of the Midwest” (though maybe not in those exact words) and his family’s role in promoting “gender affirming care” because Democrats consider those good things. Everything else on the list…. probably not.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
