Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Private sector jobs are on the decline in Illinois. They should dance in the streets that someone, anyone is willing to open up a new plant and hire workers. Instead, they are trying to chase it to another state, and yes it will open somewhere else.
I’m guessing the plant is not near where you live
Good jobs are hard to find.
Lots of the kids will only get minimum wage jobs because they only have Walmart and fast-food jobs available to them.
Electric cars seem to be the future, like it or not.
