After Pritzker signed a bill eliminating 1% state grocery tax, Highland is considering imposing its own – KSDK (St. Louis)

Annually, the grocery tax revenue accounts for $330,000 to $350,000, City Manager Chris Conrad said. That's about 10 percent of the city's current sales tax revenue, an unrestricted revenue source.

Such a bogus tax cut from JB, since towns/cities lost out on the money not the state. Just like all the unfunded laws the state passes. Look like a savior while passing the costs onto another gov entity.

This isn’t Highland Park. It’s Highland, a town in Southern Illinois
