Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. In conjunction with the wallet squeezing 25 mph soon to be enacted, let’s put speed bumps in all of the intersections in the city/ county etc. This will insure adherence to the law and put the kabosh on this “ drifting “ nonsense.
Rather rude of these kids doing all of this with assorted cars and not, as I would assume, patriotically using made in Illinois Rivian vehicles. The media covers these takeovers because it makes for good television, but they typically don’t report on the underlying crime. This article contains no facts regarding arrests. Chicago is a city without a soul.
