Video shows spinning cars, crowds take streets over at Chicago’s Kennedy Expressway – CBS2 (Chicago)

The video shows dozens of people watching cars and motorcycles doing donuts and tricks in the middle of the intersection. Cameras caught an ambulance with its lights and sirens on but still having a tough time getting through for an emergency.

In conjunction with the wallet squeezing 25 mph soon to be enacted, let’s put speed bumps in all of the intersections in the city/ county etc. This will insure adherence to the law and put the kabosh on this “ drifting “ nonsense.

Rather rude of these kids doing all of this with assorted cars and not, as I would assume, patriotically using made in Illinois Rivian vehicles. All in all Rivian needs the business and all Illinoisans, criminal or not, should be pitching in to do their part to save that tax funded failing car maker

In front of Fletcher luxury car dealership. Emblematic of what Chicago has become under Mayor Lightfoot, and now doubly so, under incompetent and irresponsible Mayor Johnson. Seems he and his City Hall deputies most enjoy the mayhem. Took the Feds/Secret Service to provide relative calm during the Democratic National Convention. I drove past there on Friday night about 11pm and there were tons of young people. I even asked someone if they opened a new night club or something around there as the placed was swamped with people all looking under 30. So this had to have been planned somehow as I never before saw so many people there ever. Some sort of “media” had to have been used to have got the word out to come over

What percentage of those vehicles were stolen? Those lowlifes don’t have the means to buy and destroy their own cars. The media covers these takeovers because it makes for good television, but they typically don’t report on the underlying crime. This article contains no facts regarding arrests. Chicago is a city without a soul.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
