Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson blasts Trump as ‘threat to everything sensible’ – FOX Chicago

"He wants to create a structure in a system where there is upheaval and chaos," Johnson said before turning to public education. "He wants to dismantle public education, a system that was built by descendants of slaves, particularly in the south. He is a threat to everything that is sensible."

People say the dumbest things when they are desperate to create a distraction.

I promised myself I’d never resort to name-calling when posting to wirepoints. So I apologize for calling the mayor a moron.
So I will just leave it at this: I am in opposition to the mayor and his Marxist agenda. I stand with Trump and vote straight Republican.
Guess I have to take a long vacation from Chicago news. It makes me sad. It was where I grew up and lived for many years. I thought it was better than it really was.
It is a good idea to be emotionally detached. Sincerely, Reese

Professional politicians understand ‘Bend the knee, kiss the ring, obey the ‘Golden Rule’, and things probably will work out’ Brandon and Pritzker would rather be Leftist extremists, political outliers, jamming their extremism on the citizenry. IL and Chicago are done for.

So apparently this brain dead moron thinks things are stable in Ci-cago. Billion dollar shortfall. Murder capitol of US. Worst school system in US. That’s stable? By that definition, perhaps you need some instability?

Trump is living in Brandon’s and JB’s heads rent free. I guess it’s a useful distraction from the city’s and state’s real problems. Whatever.

In case Johnson hasn’t notice CPS is deplorable and failing students. This is partially caused by CTU who puts teachers interests above educating students, and teaching far left propaganda over reading, writing, and math skills. CTU blames parents, but many of these parents are products of CPS. If Johnson wants to get to the “root cause “ of Chicago’s teen criminals, then he should insist on CTU educating children.

Nothing like a lesson in common sense from a CTU marionette that spends thousands on dubious fashion choices, has a 116 man security detail comprised of people he wants to neuter, proposes one fantastic pipe dream after another and has a worse record that this past season’s White Sox.

People of “color” hold most of the decision making positions in Illinois, particularly in Chicago and Cook County. They had harsh criticism for those who preceded them.Much of it was warranted. Instead of taking the reins and leading, they’ve doubled down on the bullying, and top down corruption that siphons resources and discourages investment and growth. Then, when their bad decisions come home to roost, they hide behind that old favorite race card. Corrupt, incompetent, and even worse, selfish and greedy. Johnson and Preckwinkle have instituted policies that make black kids less safe and less healthy and black families less… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
