Woman runs into Macy’s after being shot during Christmas festivities in the Loop – CWB Chicago

So far this year, 13 people have been shot in the Loop, down from 14 at this point last year. While still high compared to long-term averages, the number of shootings in the downtown neighborhood has fallen from unheard-of numbers experienced during the COVID pandemic. The neighborhood had 34 shooting victims at this point in 2022 and 26 by this date in 2021.

WGN interviewed a few people on the street at the time and one woman said “we shouldn’t change or behavior and let the criminals win”. While that is admirable and I agree…it was said with a certain level of acceptance of the current crime level. While you can soldier on…you also need to be smart enough to know the cause the “root cause” as the moron vice president said. The root cause the current elected officials, district and states attorneys who have caused the crime problem and allowed it to get worse and continue. These people need to be voted… Read more »
