John Kass: Jussie Smollett, the Obamas and the Chicago Way

"State’s Attorney’s office was once a great place for bright young Chicagoans to learn the practical aspects of the law. Until Foxx came, and picked up her $2 million check from the ne0-Marxist billionaire George Soros and adopted woke legal theory and failed to charge violent crime. Or organized shoplifting. Thugs stole thousands of dollars worth of goods, and there were no arrests, because Chicago cops knew there would be no prosecutions. And shoppers avoided those areas and more pressure was placed on taxpayers. And that is how Democrat racial politics kills a city."

Any coincidence the Obamas were in town for Jussie’s vindication? Perhaps a celebratory dinner and some entertainment followed?

The best and brightest never applied to the CCSAO.
