HB 2350 – Requires companies in Illinois that provide health insurance to cover annual prostate cancer screenings, cervical smears or Pap smears for all insured individuals, regardless of gender

The wife & I are going to go get our tests together, me for a ‘Pap smear’ and her for a ‘prostate exam’…

Just to make them squirm…

I am going to get both a prostate exam and Pap smear next year.

Hey, high taxes and fees are not enough, the State also wants us to pay much more for health insurance.

SB3318 give Alzheimer coverage to state employees on the taxpayers dime I presume on top of their already gold plated free plans. What does “FDA-Approved Treatments” include? Will all other public sec hero municipal employees in 7,000 units of gov demand the same coverage?:

SB 3318 – Insurance plans for state employees will be required to cover all FDA-approved treatments of Alzheimer’s disease, as well as medications prescribed to slow the disease.

Yeah bro, we are outraged that regular citizens like us have to pay for the gold plated plans of grifting racist state workers.

Stay mad bro. My union brothers will keep our health care coverage and pensions. That’s what happens when you’re not a scab. It’s your own fault if you don’t have those benefits. Join a union to collectively demand better compensation and benefits. Going though life as a scab is no way to live.

You seem angry and bitter for some reason. That may be a sign of Alzheimers, which is good news since you have coverage. Hope it works out for you.

Your greed is refreshing—I’ll assume your a state employee? Do you view the taxpaying public you provide services to as “scabs”?

Was SB3318 Alzheimer’s coverage benefit negotiated in AFSCME contract? or just added to their gold plated plans with no questions asked and no long term cost projections for taxpayers? Will “FDA-Approved” Alzheimer treatments” include nursing home care, nursing, etc?
Seems all the other bills on list will add to insurance cost for companies, individuals and public sec. But I guess, unlike SB3318, they apply to everybody. All passed while state was flush with COVID $bucks$

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
