Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The thing about Sean Casten is there is no difference if he attends or doesn’t. He makes zero impact on anything. He will try to replace Durbin when that waste of space ultimately goes out, which I assume will be flat on his back. One worthless do nothing replacing another. It’s the Democrat way.
Casten is a scumbag who should have been bounced from office long ago if the voters had any sense. Sadly they do not.
From a Democrat’s perspective, Donald Trump’s reelection is akin to the end of the world. From a Democrat perspective, the Trump admin is going to be filled with the worst people in the world, just the absolute worst. You are on line too much guy. Being in the minority is great. Trump is the best thing that ever happened to the Democrats. I am online too much lol as most people are but as I say, I have a lot of ‘hurry up and wait’ time for my job. Trump is in a great spot. On some level, yes, Democrats have it good with Trump because they have some breathing room to give the public what they want. But on the otherhand, the #Resistance was strong last time and significant portions of the Democrat party will go back to plotting and scheming to destroy the country just as they did during 2016-2020. While those same democrats lionize Kim Foxx, Brandon Johnson, JB Pritzker, Toni Preckwinkle, Kwame Raoul, and the rest of these do-nothing progressive-liberal woke elected officials who serve no meaningful purpose than consistently raising taxes, increasing deficits, and loudly enabling crime and illegal migration.
