CTU: No substantive progress in contract talks with CPS – WGNTV (Chicago)

A CPS spokesperson said the district has responded to more than 740 proposals from the union. “Today, the teams spent the majority of our time engaging in deeper discussions about Whole School Safety, early childhood education, and CTU’s proposal to increase planning time for elementary school teachers,” the spokesperson said. “We spent very little time caucusing and focused instead on understanding how CTU envisions increasing planning time without reducing instructional time.”

“This contract is our love letter to the young people of Chicago that we have their back,” CTU President Stacy Davis Gates said.

I’ve smelled some schite in my day. With the aroma of Gates’ words firmly wedged in my nostrils, I could stand waist deep in a freshly filled Stickney settling pond and hardly notice.

It’s easy start a spreadsheet with the money available at top and subtract costs until it reaches zero and they your done!
Like Chicago Schools no math required to graduate.
