Trump’s Secret Weapon for Mass Deportations: E-Verify – RealClear

“If you aren’t for E-Verify, you aren’t serious about controlling immigration,” says border expert Mark Krikorian, who heads the Center for Immigration Studies. Yet many blue states go out of their way to discourage E-Verify’s use. Illinois penalizes companies that “misuse” the E-Verify system, discouraging them from using the program at all.

Self deportation will have if E-verify is strictly enforced with significant penalties including MANDATORY jail time.

Fully implement E-Verify. Then prosecute, and jail those who violate this requirement. Both the illegal and the employer. Too many employers knowingly hire illegals and get by with it. Turn off the employment factor and the welfare factor and many will disappear back to their native countries.

The hard part is prosecuting the Washington elite who claim innocence using third party sourcing to have their houses cleaned.

Very, very true. Since almost E verify exempt a low number of employees they try to sneak around it.

Go after a few of them with heavy fines and threat of jail and advertise what can be done and that problem may be reduced significantly.

E-Verify should be used in all states but an even quicker solution is to cut all benefits. End all the freebies, no more taxpayer funded housing, food, healthcare and no illegal immigrants in public schools.

Though the idea of denying illegal immigrant children education seems harsh, providing education to non-English speaking children denies English-speaking American kids resources they need to succeed academically.

As the election showed, government needs to put our children and citizens first.

The illegals got amnesty but there was no first hand requirement for border security or E-Verify. That was left to ‘later’ and ‘later’ meant another 20 million illegals. I hope Trump can reverse this. He will face an immense struggle as Democrats and some Republicans will try to… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
