It won’t be long until prostitution is legalized and taxed. There is a clear pattern going on with our lawmakers.

You may be onto something. It won’t be obvious at first; perhaps, something like legalizing “enhanced massages.”

Shouldn’t a free economy almost by definition embrace free trade of all varieties as long as governmental rule standards and licensing are part of it? All that takes is a willing seller and a willing buyer with no coercion involved. The coercion part is where problems arise, but that can be addressed, can’t it?

Anyway, I think it’s safe to say former, new and maybe forever our president, Donald Trump, Esq., surely agrees with me. He might even take on that issue. Think of all those new tax dollars to be spent at his whim!

I think legalizing prostitution crosses the line even for State of Illinois leaders (famous last words?).

Why should government licensing be part of it? Just more opportunities for corruption.

Without governmental oversight it’s decidedly a world of exploitation, sexual disease transmission, drugs, violence, etc. That’s not to suggest those things can’t/don’t happen anyway, but surely there would be less of it.

I doubt that. NCOSE is getting very powerful and influential and has notched some major legislative and judicial victories.
