IL Democratic lawmakers file bill requiring safe firearm storage, stolen gun reporting – WAND (Decatur)

Gun owners could face a fine of $500 to $1,000 if someone prohibited from accessing guns obtains their weapon. The legislation could also create a $10,000 penalty if a minor or at-risk person uses someone else's gun to injure or kill people.

Nice though, but Horrible law!
When you need to defend yourself in your house, or outside, quick, rapid time is important, perhaps just seconds!! Nobody believes our stupid Batavia Rep MH stating more youth killed by guns vs car accidents! Oh, maybe it happens on a single Tuesday in December!
It all depends on who’s in your household! Leave the citizens alone to be prepared to defend themselves.
