If these were “work day” parties, in addition to the direct costs, the taxpayers lost three additional days of paid time. Would be interesting to know the dates of the celebrations.

They probably took a lot of the underserved out for a fling. That was probably the day the place had to be evacuated after fights and shootings.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
