Appeals court to answer whether noncitizens have Second Amendment rights – Center Square

The case USA v. Heriberto Carbajal-Flores centers around Flores’ arrest in Chicago for having a firearm. Representing the federal government, Margaret Steindorf said, “There is the common thread here of felons not abiding by the law and those unlawfully in the country also not authorized to be in the country."

I’ve come around to the position that we should have some limits on gun ownership. But specifically, only restrict commies like antifa and illegal immigrants from owning guns. I won’t let my strong pro-2nd amendment ideology get in the way of the practical reality that my enemies are also arming themselves, not to oppose a tyrannical government, or for recreation, but with the stated intention of destroying me or to commit crime.

Here’s how to fix this. Make it a felony to be unlawfully present in this country and that will prevent illegals from owning firearms. Just ask the FOID office.
