Ignored is the fact that at least half a dozen countries have declined to accept the Palestinians. They have been thrown out of Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt in the past.

Stupid rhetoric. It’s not ‘cleansing’ but relocation. If he’s got issues with forced relocation, then say it. But calling it ethnic cleansing, which Trump did not suggest, is clearly hyperbole.
Ah, but it inflames the base. Words have power. “Ethnic cleansing” definitely excites far more than “forced relocation,” though the two have absolutely nothing to do with one another.
Take for example “gender affirming care” which sounds positive but means mutilation of confused children (with or without permission of their well meaning but ignorant parents).
If adults choose that for themselves on their own nickel, no problem, bug kids?!?!
