“This program provides otherwise law-abiding citizens without criminal history who were arrested because they failed to obtain a [firearm owner’s license], a pathway to come into compliance with those licensing regulations,” Eileen O'Neill Burke’s office said.

Never thought getting arrested might be a quicker way to get your ccl as opposed to waiting over a year for Pritzker’s ISP slow walking a renewal application.

Meanwhile you can be charged for owning a non compliant magazine, not registering certain firearms and being forced by the state to have a FOID card to purchase weapons and ammo
