A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
I know of ONE EASY TRICK for Chicago to drop its crime rate to zero: STOP COMMITTING CRIMES. Chicago’s crime rate is a result of its own citizens committing crimes. It ain’t the police stealing your catalytic converter or tagging the garage. It is your neighbors, your community members, their friends, family and children. Crime is one of the few quality of life measurements that is entirely under its’ residents’ control. Just stop committing crimes and the city rate goes to zero! It’s that simple but they refuse to do it. Its amazing to me.
Chicago PD has past and current issues to be sure. Like any large organization there are bad apples to weed out. But they also are put in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t position by grandstanding politicians at the city, county, and state level. Then, leftist media such as WTTW slants its reporting to further depict Chicago PD as THE problem, little if any mention of the politicians who protect criminals with bad laws, prosecutors who won’t prosecute crime, and judges who hand out lax penalties.
