“The law department has sucked in the last four years,” CHA resident and board member Francine Washington said at a recent board meeting. “We are not all bad residents, but we have some bad residents out there. We need to start the process of getting rid of them to send a statement. Is there anyone to deal with that?”
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
