Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. There’s only one thing Pritzker covets, and that’s the Presidency. He’d actually prefer to be King of the World, but one step at a time. He is obsessed with it, and that’s what is driving all his actions. I suspect the sycophants begging him to run for President on his Instagram page are paid. It’s actually pretty funny that he thinks he is a viable candidate. He is so extreme, and so unwilling to modify any of his extremist beliefs, that even his own party will not allow him the nomination in 2028. Gavin Newsom actually capitulated yesterday, and acknowledged… Read more »
Yep, the fat man has no chance…but, Newsom says the words it will take to get elected. Period. He’s a reptile changing colors and smiling while he tries to con people. Suddenly, this chameleon who went to battle with Florida Gov DeSantis, fighting with him with the most unsupportable positions…now he wants us all to believe he’s changed. He is exactly what we think he is.
76% of the people that watched PDJT’s joint session speech approved. Pritzker can bloviate all he wants, but his type are not wanted by the American electorate.
I have a feeling that a high number of Republicans were the ones watching that speech and it wasn’t representative of the general electorate. We have become so accustomed to only listening to the people we mostly agree with and turn the “channel” on those we disagree. While I believe Trump’s speech was positive I doubt that a large chunk of democrat voters thought the same.
That might be true but let’s not let a Democrat undersampling in a survey ruin a good statistic!
As CBS stated “CBS News/YouGov survey interviewed a nationally representative sample of speech watchers immediately following the president’s address to Congress” and, as we have read here, the League of Women Voters for example held gatherings to specifically not watch the speech. To me it adds up to more misleading headlines by the mainstream media that seem to just be never ending.
Yes, the sample was 51% Republicans, about 20% Dem, and 37% Ind. The Dem problem is that most of the Independents liked the speech too. The Democrats are on their own island here.

Should be no paywall if you just turn off ad blocker.
Half the country has now graduated from “deplorable” to “Nazi” according to Governor Pritzker’s straw man argument. I might suggest that Pritzker look in a mirror when doing this name calling because they might better fit him as opposed to the millions he is labeling.
No matter what a farce Pritzger is along with the Chicago mayor and most of the democrats who hold super majorities in the House and Senate they still will be elected by wide margins in future elections. The democrat voter base is truly clueless and are unaware or simply don’t care about the future of their city or the state.
