Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. View this bill as Illinois Democrat’s latest DEI overture.
Why are Democrats pro criminals and now, pro sex offenders?
All of this insanity will continue until we see a few well placed “leaders” swinging from the gallows in a public square.
I am not sure why 500 feet is better than 250 feet. We pay plenty to staff schools with supposedly responsible adults, who should notice if anything is amiss. Maintaining a “sex offender” list merely gives the illusion of safety.
I like the idea better that legislators should not be less than 249K miles away from Illinois. You know where that puts them?
I thought legalizing prostitution was the end all. Now we can see the Democrats are back to salivating over little children.
At this point, one has to wonder whether stuff like this and equally idiotic experiments proposed to be practiced on the residents of IL are just so much noise intended to irk normal people. They could very well be, until rubber stamped, er “ autopenned “, into law in the dead of night.
