Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
We don’t need a ‘Stomping on Illinois’ tour to know how JB the Hutt has hurt Illinois taxpayers.
We live it every day.
JB can use his own money to fight Trump. He needs to cut his left spending and quit raising taxes.
In other words he will be out campaigning with the now usual Democrat party line of “Anti Trump” rhetoric. The democrats have no platform, no plans, no nothing other than to get Trump. One would think they would get the message that using that as a platform is a proven method to lose elections…but then again the Illinois media will love it
“ Comrade Pritzger kicks off stumping for the next presidential election instead of attending to the myriad problems facing IL “ would be closer to the truth.
On Illinois taxpayers’ tab.
I’d rather have him anywhere else in the country except here. If he’s elsewhere, he’s not here making the state worse.
Will he drive an EV which he seems to be promoting all the time or his usual ICE car? Does he or will lead by example?
Former Governor (and convicted felon) Dan Walker walked all through Illinois to reach the voters with his message. Perhaps Pritzker could do the same rather than just kicking something off once. Walking would improve his physical health and being out of Springfield would improve the mental health of Illinois citizens.
Good idea but he will stop at 75 feet or less.
